Responsibilities
- Support patients attending the chemotherapy unit for SACT treatments, ensuring comfort, dignity, and wellbeing throughout their visit.
- Undertake venepuncture and ECG recordings.
- Assist registered nurses with clinical duties, including observations (e.g., blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and specimen collection.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during treatment journeys.
- Prepare clinical areas, ensuring they are clean, well‑stocked, and ready for patient care.
- Assist in patient flow, including escorting patients to and from treatment areas and clinics.
- Work collaboratively with the nursing team, medical staff, and multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure safe and efficient service delivery.
