The **Heavy Truck Driver** safely transports specialized chemical, explosive, or radioactive freight across long or regional distances. They require specialized certifications to navigate extreme safety protocols, operate heavy-duty equipment and strictly comply with federal and state environmental regulations.
**Responsibilities**
+ Safely haul hazardous materials
+ Ensure the correct placarding, labeling, and securing of all loads in compliance with federal guidelines
+ Check freight received/delivered against freight bill for accuracy
+ Operate equipment safely and practice personal safety.
+ Accomplish work in compliance with government and DOT regulations.
+ Identify material requirement listing for work in government acceptable format.
+ Assist in maintaining equipment operations shop inventory.
