Overview
The Island Health Division of Hematology is recruiting a Hematologist to join the Island-Wide program. The clinical responsibilities are to provide inpatient consultative hematology services for Nanaimo Regional General Hospital and outpatient hematology services to the Central and North Island through an established community-based clinic.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient consultative hematology services at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.
- Provide outpatient hematology services to the Central and North Island through community-based clinic.
- Assume a part‑time position at BC Cancer to assess and manage patients with lymphoma, myeloma, and myelodysplastic syndrome.
- Engage in research and medical education opportunities affiliated with the University of British Columbia, including clinical teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate learners.
