Herbicide Technicians are responsible for vegetation management services including spraying, cutting, trimming, and removal of weeds, grass, and brush for a variety of public and private clients. Work is performed using equipment such as spray trucks, ATVs, backpack sprayers, and hose systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and document all required DOT vehicle inspections; identify and troubleshoot issues with trucks and spray systems, reporting any needed repairs
- Maintain all vehicles and equipment in a clean, organized, and operational condition
- Operate and calibrate spray equipment in accordance with company standards (training provided)
- Identify common weed, grass, and brush species (training provided)
- Apply herbicides safely and effectively while following all label requirements and safety protocols
