Job Summary
Highly Specialised Respiratory Physiologist – NHS AfC Band 7. Permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week) at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent routine and specialised respiratory and sleep diagnostics, including the scoring and reporting of multichannel sleep studies and transcutaneous CO2 studies.
- Initiate, optimise and monitor CPAP and NIV therapy for patients, and support a remote monitoring service for domiciliary ventilated patients.
- Calibrate and maintain all lung function and sleep laboratory equipment, ensuring hygiene and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Provide technical support for research undertaken within the lung function and sleep departments.
- Support and mentor junior team members in training and CPD activities.
