Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Full Time role as Highway Infrastructure Manager to join the Highways and Traffic Management Service of Southampton City Council (SCC).
About the role
The primary duty of this post will be the lead of a new major Electric Vehicle (EV) and highways infrastructure project for the city, manage the principal contractor, and manage the operation of all SCC owned EVI. The post will also represent the highway authority and check that works are completed to specification.
Some of your other duties may include:
- Assist in the management of the highway network and the assets within it like structures, ITS, street furniture, adoptions, MTE and dropped crossings.
- Manage enquiries with members of the public, Councillors, and Members of Parliament, in regards to highways and EV infrastructure.
