Responsibilities
- Supervise and delegate duties as required
- Create work schedules for the team
- Cheerfully greet customers as they enter the store or approach your station
- Process payments by cash, cheque, credit card or automatic debit
- Help customers find or choose items in the store
- Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets
- Calculate total payments received at end of work shift and reconcile with total sales
- Accept and process delivery orders
- Stock shelves and clean check‑out counter area
- Sweep floors, dust shelves and perform other general cleaning duties
