Overview: The Histologist makes sure the histology lab runs smoothly while also meeting high-quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lab Work Handle tissue processing, cutting, staining, and making slides for research and diagnosis.
- Ensure Compliance Follow all safety and industry regulations (CAP, CLIA, etc.).
- Keep Things Organized Manage specimens, maintain records, and properly handle hazardous materials.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor s or Associate s degree in science.
- Some histology experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Bonus: Certification (HT or HTL from ASCP) and experience with digital pathology are a plus.
