**JOB SUMMARY**
**Location HTPN Downtown Dallas TX**
**Department AP Histology Lab**
**Shift Evening 130pm - 1000pm**
**Preferred Experience ASCP HT and or HTL certified with at least 3 years of routine histology IHC and Special Stain Automation CAP experience a must**
The Histotechnician 3 performs and monitors a variety of anatomic procedures and processes, assumes responsibility for problem resolutions, training others on all aspects of the department with minimal supervision.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE**
Perform variety of technical procedures resulting in creation of microscopic slide preparations.
Follow quality control, quality assurance, safety, and infection control procedures.
Recognize and take appropriate action when established procedures and policies are not followed.
Perform instrument maintenance, maintain appropriate inventory of supplies and troubleshooting as needed.
