Histology Technician
LabCorp is seeking a Histology Technician to join our team in Seattle, WA.
Work Schedule: Casual / Per Diem
Job Responsibilities:
- Process human tissue and body fluid specimens in preparation for microscopic examination
- Perform technical duties related to the production of histopathological slides from surgical specimens
- Embed, orient, and section tissue using a microtome, ensuring proper slide preparation
- Perform routine histology procedures, including H&E and special staining techniques
- Conduct immunohistochemical (IHC) testing on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections
- Prepare stains, reagents, and solutions required for laboratory procedures
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot manual and automated laboratory instrumentation
- Report accurate and timely test results to support quality patient care
