Home-Schooling Teacher for a 12‑year‑old boy (dyslexic) in Brooklyn/Waterkloof.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:30 (candidate to remain available full day; likely finishing at 14:00 on most days)
Responsibilities
- Teach and support the learner across all core subjects.
- Plan lessons and learning objectives.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit the learner’s pace and dyslexia‑related needs.
- Monitor academic progress and provide support where needed.
- Prepare assessments and revision schedules.
- Encourage independent learning, confidence, critical thinking, and personal growth.
- Create a calm and structured learning environment.
- Provide mentorship and guidance.
- Attend educational outings and assist with transport to sports and extramural activities when required.
