Hospitalist Opportunity
Rome Health Hospital, a trusted healthcare provider in Central New York, is seeking a full-time Hospitalist (MD or DO) to join a well-supported inpatient team. This is a rewarding opportunity to practice in a community-focused setting with a manageable patient load and excellent sub-specialty support.
As a Hospitalist, your responsibilities will include:
- Provide inpatient care in a 7 on / 7 off schedule (7 AM – 7 PM)
- Make daily rounds on assigned patients (average 12–15 per physician)
- Admit patients and manage rapid responses/codes
- Collaborate with intensivists in an open ICU setting with 24/7 consultation available
- Conduct patient assessments, histories, physicals, and documentation using Paragon EMR
- Coordinate with attending physicians, specialists, and hospital staff to ensure high-quality care
