Job Description

HUMAN RIGHTS OFFICER (TJO) at OHCHR.

Grade: P‑3. Location: Geneva, Switzerland. Application deadline: 29 June 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Attends and reports on OHCHR meetings and engagements with Permanent Missions and other stakeholders, providing relevant notes and feedback.
  • Facilitates coordination between the Regional Hub for ECA and Geneva‑based OHCHR entities and mechanisms.
  • Interacts with civil society representatives in Geneva, notably during Human Rights Council sessions.
  • Plans and coordinates activities related to thematic and country mandates on human rights, including from a gender perspective.
  • Collects and analyses human rights data and indicators in country/region of assignment, including gender‑specific data and indicators.
