The Field Service Technician reports into the Grid Technology Service Substation Upgrades business. Field Service Technicians are responsible for the environmentally safe performance of in-service high voltage substations. Execute technical field assignments involving the monitoring, service, and/or repair of substation equipment. May recommend corrective measures to improve field service operations and customer service. May be assigned other work, individually, or as part of a larger electrical substation / power plant project. Reports directly to Field Service Manager.
Often requires extensive travel and non-standard schedules at field locations with exposure to varying environmental conditions. The successful applicant will be required to be on site 3 days a week, 10hrs per day and be on call 24/7 with a 1-2hr on site response time in the event of an emergency.
