The heavy equipment diesel mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and drilling equipment used in Minning, and drilling operations. The mechanic ensures maximum equipment availability, safety, and performance through proper maintenance and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair diesel engines on heavy equipment and dill rigs Troubleshoot hydraulic systems including pump, motors, valves, and cylinders Repair and maintain drilling equipment, compressors, and support machinery Perform preventative maintenance on drill rigs Diagnose fuel systems problems including injectors, fuel pumps and filters. Inspect and repair hydraulic equipment Troubleshooting overheating, pressure loss, and abnormal hydraulic flow issues.
