Responsibilities
- Conduct fieldwork and hydrologic assessments including surface water and groundwater monitoring.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret hydrological data using specialized software (e.g., HECRAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, MODFLOW, GIS).
- Develop models to predict water flow, quality, and availability for various regions.
- Assess the impact of environmental changes, infrastructure projects, and climate variability on water systems.
- Prepare technical reports, maps, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Provide expert input on water resource planning, conservation, and management.
- Collaborate with environmental scientists, engineers, planners, and policy makers.
- Ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and permitting requirements.
