Program Overview – Homeward Bound
The Homeward Bound program serves women and female-led families navigating housing instability, trauma, and barriers to employment. As such, this role demands a patient, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed approach. The instructor must balance academic rigour with sensitivity to participants' lived experiences, varying skill levels, and competing personal demands.
The ICDL Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality, trauma-informed digital literacy instruction to Phase I participants of WoodGreen's Homeward Bound Program. This role exists to equip female-led families - many of whom face systemic barriers to education and employment - with the computer skills and ICDL certifications required to advance to college-level study and sustainable employment.
