We are supporting ayoung medical student (early 20s) who sustained ahigh-level spinal cord injury while on holiday from university.
He is exceptionally bright, articulate, and determined to return to his studies and live as independently as possible. Despite everything he has been through, he has apositive, driven mindset and is fully engaged in his care and future.
He lives in afully adapted family home in Oxfordshire with a specialist care setup and strong family support.
He is also one of a very small number of people in the UK to have aNeuralink implant , allowing him to control his laptop purely through thought. It is an incredible piece of technology and a fascinating environment to work in.
