Job Description
An Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) is a highly skilled nurse who provides critical care to patients with life-threatening conditions requiring constant monitoring and advanced medical interventions. Working in the ICU, these nurses manage complex cases such as severe infections, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, trauma, or post-operative complications. They monitor vital signs, administer critical medications, operate life-support equipment like ventilators, and collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. ICU RNs must possess strong clinical judgment, rapid decision-making abilities, and emotional resilience, playing a vital role in stabilizing patients and supporting their recovery in high-pressure, high-acuity environments.
