Import/Export Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION PrideStaff on behalf of a client in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an experienced professional Import & Export Specialist who will be responsible for accurate recording of import-related costs while ensuring regulatory compliance. 

Responsibilities:

Review all import-related charges from carriers (FedEx, DHL, UPS) and customs brokers to verify the accuracy of applied duty rates and fees.

Track tariff exclusions, preferential trade agreements (e.g., USMCA), and duty drawback opportunities to minimize the company’s tax liability.

Allocate landed costs (freight, insurance, and duties) to inventory to ensure accurate valuation of aircraft components.

Act as the primary financial liaison for customs brokers, ensuring timely payment of duties and verifying that broker statements match general ledger entries.
