Job Description
The function of the Industrial Painter at Harris American Jacksonville is to paint industrial machinery using sprayed enamel paint, as well as preparing equipment for painting by sandblasting, taping and covering areas to exclude paint application. Secondary duties include shipping preparation including packaging, strapping, and loading heavy equipment via forklift.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, rust, and contaminants through sanding, scraping, and chemical treatments.
- Mix and apply paints, varnishes, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, ensuring even and consistent coverage.
- Understand and follow safety protocols and best practices for painting in an industrial environment.
