Instrumentation Software Engineer | Oxford | £55,000 - £65,000
As part of our client’s plans to grow their UK operations, they are expanding their Engineering Team and seeking an Instrumentation Software Engineer. This role involves creating software and firmware interfaces used to control and monitor advanced optical and atomic-based systems that support next-generation timing and navigation technologies.
Responsibilities
- Build software interfaces for external hardware and APIs using Python
- Use Python, C, and other languages to operate measurement equipment and laboratory instruments
- Combine multiple hardware components into unified, functional systems
- Evaluate software and hardware performance using benchtop tools and larger field-ready setups
