Location: SCLS Telephone Intake Service (Columbia Office)
Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary: The Intake Screener prescreens applicants for eligibility, refers applicants to non-legal available resources, translates oral and written communications in Spanish, and performs other administrative work and assignments under the supervision and guidance of the managing attorney. The Intake Screener may be required to participate in outreach activities. The position may also require some evening and/or weekend work as well as statewide travel.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Prefer an Associate Degree or certification from a paralegal program
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a call center or customer service environment
