A forward-thinking Local Authority in North Yorkshire is seeking an experienced, fully registered Class 2D Building Inspector to support their established Building Control team. This initial 6-month contract offers an exceptional hourly rate of £75 per hour (Inside IR35) and provides a balanced, well-managed caseload across a stunning geographic region. The council is open to flexible, hybrid working arrangements, combining remote plan checking with efficient, clustered site inspections. Key Responsibilities Plan Assessment & Site Inspections: Manage a diverse caseload of domestic and non-domestic projects falling within the Class 2A 2D competency criteria. Regulatory Compliance: Assess plans and specifications to ensure strict compliance with the Building Act 1984, Building Regulations, and the Building Safety Act.
