Job Summary
Position Title: Intermediate Accountant
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Salary: $65,000‑$75,000 plus benefits
Location: Ottawa, ON / Gatineau, QC
Work Model: Hybrid – 4 days per week onsite / 1 day work from home
Key Responsibilities
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for a portfolio of entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting
- Prepare and post general journal entries and maintain complete and accurate financial records, including ledgers, registers, and supporting documentation
- Perform detailed general ledger reconciliations and investigate variances, including intercompany balances and chargeback discrepancies
- Analyze financial results through balance sheet and income statement variance analysis, providing insights to support decision‑making
