Job Description
Intermediate Mechanical Draftsman
The draughtsman is responsible for producing accurate and detailed technical drawings, models, and documentation for mechanical components and systems. Working closely with engineers and senior draughtsman, this role ensures designs are compliant with project specifications, industry standards and manufacturing requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5 - 10 years experience in mechanical drafting (sheet metal and frame generator beneficial)
- Proficiency in CAD software (Inventor) - mandatory
- Good understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., ISO, SANS).
- Well developed computer skills in relevant design & drafting packages and software
