Job Description
Project Title
Dye penetration efficiency against viscosity evaluation
Description
Varying viscosity of Dykem Red Ink at different counts of use (re-use cycles) can increase viscosity over time, which may limit dye penetration and lead to no/poor penetration outcomes in the Dye & Pry process. Today, there is no quantitative control of dye viscosity (and/or temperature), so low viscosity is assumed but not verified. This internship project will establish a practical viscosity measurement and control approach to improve confidence and repeatability of Dye & Pry results.
Scope
- Develop a test plan to measure Dykem red dye viscosity across defined reuse counts
- Identify and evaluate viscometer options suitable for low-viscosity Newtonian fluids with high sensitivity and minimal mechanical disturbance
- Define a controlled measurement method (including temperature control/standardization, e.g., 25°C reference) and meas...
