Internal Medicine Physician - NocturnistRome, New YorkPosition OverviewA well-established, community-focused hospital in Rome, NY is seeking a full-time Internal Medicine physician (Board Certified or Board Eligible) to join its Hospitalist team as a Nocturnist. This role offers a manageable census, strong subspecialty support, and a stable 7-on/7-off schedule.Clinical Responsibilities
  • Manage 5-10 inpatients per night
  • Perform admissions from ED and direct admits
  • Complete full histories, physicals, and diagnostic assessments
  • Document in Paragon EMR
  • Manage acute medical issues, including patients in an open ICU
    • 24/7 intensivist consult support
  • Collaborate with nursing, specialists, case management, and ancillary teams
  • Coordinate discharges and ensure safe transition plans
