Job Description
Tesla is seeking a motivated engineering student to join the Optimus robot team in Langley, British Columbia as an Actuator Geartrain Mechanical Engineering Intern for Summer 2026.
This position is expected to start May 2026 and continue through summer term (ending approximately August 2026 or later). We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program.
During your internship at Tesla, you will be working on groundbreaking manufacturing process technology that goes into gearboxes of the Tesla Bot Optimus. You will work with a variety of teams developing the next generation of actuators including prototyping and testing. This includes design of tooling and fixtures used in manufacturing processes of geartrains as well as mathematical modelling and simulation of manufacturing processes.
