Interpreter (English/Spanish) - NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital *F/T 35 hrs per week, Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM*

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Interpreter.

In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Spanish language interpreting services to Medical Center patients/families who are limited English proficient and Hospital staff. Also assists with scheduling and dispatching spoken language interpreting services. This job is specifically for Spanish.

Job Responsibilities:

Provides spoken language medical interpreting services for patients/families and staff. 

Utilizes Hospital and Community resources for professional development and keeps current on changes in the medical interpreter profession.

Respects and maintains confidentiality of all patient, physician, staff and hospital related information.

Reports concerns and/or conflicts to LAS Coordinator or LCDS Manager accordingly.

Follows-up and intervenes directly with areas/units when scheduling conflicts and/or issues arise.
