Position Summary
The IRB Coordinator will provide regulatory expertise, guidance and administrative support to the NYU Institutional Review Board reviewing human subject research protocols. Attain and maintain comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of human subject research protections and IRB regulations. Works with researchers, the IRB Chairperson(s) and members, the Human Research Compliance Director, IRB staff and other University offices to ensure the rights and welfare of participants in the human research activities conducted by the University's faculty, scientists, and students. Advises researchers in adhering to IRB requirements, federal and state regulations, state law, University policies, and the ethical principles that apply to human research projects.
