Role Overview
The Foundation Learning Department supports learners with SEND, barriers to learning and SEMH across Bridgwater, Cannington, Strode and Taunton. The role is a part‑time Job Coach coordinating work experience, supported internships and other supported employment activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Co‑ordinate and support work experience, supported internships and other supported employment activities.
- Establish and maintain close working relationships with external agencies, employers, on‑and off the job training and tutors to place, train and monitor students through successful placements.
- Arrange and promote work readiness activities, guest speakers and employer visits.
- Advocate the benefits of employing people with SEND/SEMH to employers and the wider community.
- Ensure all administration, health and safety checks are complete and that priorities are effectively managed.
