Overview

A leading export company situated in Cape Town is urgently seeking the expertise of a Junior Buyer to join their team.

The successful incumbent for this position will be responsible for:

  • Negotiate and finalize prices with the suppliers for diverse services and materials
  • Improve the methods of purchasing and eliminate unnecessary expenditure
  • Find new clients
  • Find new suppliers both locally and internationally, negotiate terms and supply agreements, negotiate rebates and discounts
  • According to the production schedule ensure that you purchase the required equipment, materials and components
  • The entire production cycle ensure that you plan, monitor and schedule the materials movement
  • According to the necessity, the orders should be expedited. Any problems in delivery should be identified and rectified and the correct personnel informed including the client
