The Role: Junior Buyer
What will you do?
Functional Expertise:
- Procures materials to meet customer requirements at an optimal cost while and schedules supplier deliveries based on requirements.
- Maintains lot sizes, period of supply, planning bill demand, lead time and minimum order quantities with suppliers.
- Supports the phase-out/in of products to avoid obsolete inventory.
- Obtains supplier quotations as required, notifies suppliers of engineering changes to drawings/specifications and provides suppliers with forecast and open order information.
- Ensures that all released Purchase Orders are sent to suppliers and are confirmed following the required turn-around time.
