The Junior Import Specialist ensures that the costing for all inbound containers is processed accurately and in timely manner. Supports the customs clearance process by assisting with the preparation, review, and submission of import and export documentation in compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations to our Customs Broker. This role works closely with our internal management team and our Customs Broker to ensure timely and accurate clearance of shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
Container Costing:
Experience with costing of inbound freight
Knowledge of costing processes for ocean freight charges and fees
Understanding of purchase cost of goods and landed cost calculations
Ability to analyze and reconcile freight invoices and cost discrepancies
Customs/Tariffs:
Review commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents for accuracy and compliance and send the...
