The Role
As a Junior Range Engineer, you’ll play a key role in keeping critical IT and communications systems running at one of the UK’s most unique defence environments.
Day-to-day, you’ll be part of a specialist team supporting the IT infrastructure, networks and tactical data systems that enable live trials activity on the range, helping to ensure systems remain available, secure and operational.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting planned and reactive maintenance in line with engineering policiesMonitoring and supporting range systems in real time during trials activitiesConfiguring and managing network infrastructure, including switches and communications systemsAdministering and supporting Microsoft server environments and core IT servicesManaging and maintaining firewall systems (e.g. Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower)Installing and cabling IT infrastructure including r...
