Unfortunately we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. 

30 hours per week. Tuesday-Friday, Wednesday- Saturday on a rotational basis. Hours of work will cover 6.00am - 2.00pm and 10.00am - 6.00pm.

Purpose of the post:

Support the water microbiology department. 

  • Preparation of media (agars etc.) to be used in microbiological analysis
  • Sample preparation in line with company protocols
  • Microbiological analysis of water samples in line with company protocols
  • Training and operation of relevant equipment
  • General housekeeping of laboratory and prevention of cross contamination
  • Accurate Data entry into laboratory database
  • Accurate record-keeping associated with UKAS quality system
  • Effective communication with all employees
  • Report any anomalous results or situations to Laboratory Supervisor
