Job Description

Jr. Sous Chef – Pastry

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Pastry Chef in daily pastry and bakery operations.
  • Prepare pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, viennoiserie, and bakery items as per brand standards.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of products.
  • Handle production planning and inventory control for pastry ingredients.
  • Maintain hygiene, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness as per SOPs.
  • Train and guide junior kitchen staff and commis chefs.
  • Monitor wastage control and cost management.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and operations teams for smooth functioning.
  • Ensure timely preparation for bulk orders and store requirements.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 4–8 years of experience in Pastry & Bakery operations.
  • Experience in premium bakery, café, QSR, or hospitality brands preferred.
