Junior Shipping Controller job vacancy in Cape Town.
A well-established Manufacturing Engineering company is looking for a Junior Shipping Controller to join their team on a full-time permanent basis in the Northern Suburbs, Cape Town.
Position Requirements:
- National Senior Certificate / Grade 12
- BCom Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain or similar (Not Compulsory)
- Experience in a similar position
- Any admin, supply chain or logistics certificates (beneficial)
- Experience in Manufacturing environment (beneficial)
- Proficiency in both English and Afrikaans
Position Responsibilities:
- Planning Shipment and Distribution
- Send shipping documentation (as per courier) to the client or the client’s bank
- Responsible for the control of local loading schedule
- Negotiating rates with transporting and courier companies
