Main duties of the job
- Responsible for supporting the Ward Manager in the delivery of consistently high standards of care to meet the service needs of the patients and the Trust objectives. The post holder will be a role model of the Barts Health values and key behaviours to all members of the team and the wider MDT.
- As a senior member of the Ward team, the band 6 will be a competent confident practitioner who can care for, and manage the deteriorating and acutely ill patient, escalating concerns to the appropriate medical and outreach teams.
- The post holder must have competent management and facilitation skills in order to coordinate and supervise the activity of ward staff, promote multi-disciplinary working and foster a supportive, learning environment.
