Overview
We are looking for a Payroll Advisor to cover parental leave for 8 months. The role is based in Te Tari Matua, Pōneke (National Office, Wellington) and will report to the Team Leader, Payroll.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll on time for the Ministry, using the Pay Global system.
- Provide high‑quality payroll advice and support to Te Puni Kōkiri.
- Build meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate regularly with Recruitment, HR and Finance teams to ensure timely information flow.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation and its application.
- Excellent Excel skills and experience using Pay Global.
- High attention to detail, numerical skills, logical reasoning and critical thinking.
