Job Description

Are you experienced, reliable and trustworthy? Are you available to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends and public holidays?

We are currently seeking an experienced Kitchen Hand/Steward to join our busy team at West HQ.

What does a Kitchen Hand do?

Our Kitchen Hands are responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and hygiene of all kitchen and related areas in a safe and efficient manner.

Duties could include:

  • Washing kitchen equipment and dishes
  • Maintaining a constant supply of clean materials
  • Ensuring all kitchen areas are clean and hygienically maintained. Including mopping of floors and removing garbage
  • Cleaning of wash-up areas
  • Ensuring that kitchen cleanliness is of the highest standard
  • Complying with safety work procedures (PPE) & WHS regulations
  • Ensuring safe manual handling techniques at all times
