A Laboratory in Everett is searching for a Lab Support Services Specialist to join their team.
Overview of Responsibilities:
- Receive, verify, sort, and prepare blood, urine, and other biological specimens according to protocol.
- Operate laboratory equipment including centrifuges and loading specimens for processing.
- Utilize EHR and LIS systems for accurate data entry, tracking, and specimen labeling.
- Key point of contact for providers and clinical staff regarding test ordering and specimen requirements.
- Manage reference lab documentation, completing forms, resolving inquiries, routing results to providers.
- Maintain laboratory equipment by recording temperatures, defrosting freezers, and ensuring overall site compliance.
- Participate in Lean process improvement activities and adhere to all HIPAA and safety protocols.
