**Description**
Performs microbiological procedures on cosmetic raw materials, bulk and finished goods to ensure compliance with company, industry, and government guidelines/regulations. Work performed in EL R&D Microbiology lab requires contact with Biosafety level 2 organisms which have been associated with human disease and hazard. Because of this risk, the daily responsibilities require uninterrupted focus by the technician to the task at hand due to the potential impact to the technician, product and potentially the consumer.
**Responsibilities:** Support scientists in the execution of microbiological studies, including sample preparation, plating, dilution, and microbial enumeration.
Prepare equipment, glassware, and supplies in advance of experimental work to optimize scientist productivity.
