Job Description
Responsibilities Attend to lab request sheets handed in by the teachers Clear and clean all apparatus after each experiment and periodically clean up all laboratories and the chemical storeroom and microscope slides Check that all electrical equipment, sensors and meters are in working order and monitor maintenance requests for the laboratories Perform safety procedures such as checking first aid cabinets, eyewash stations etc Purchasing of essential items for experiments e.g. plants Monitor and regularly update the chemicals/stock list on the computer Maintain lists and contact numbers for suppliers Check stock and replenish empty bench reagents To assist where possible when a teacher is absent Support senior students with their practical work for Extended Essays, Internal Assessments and Group 4 projects.
