Overview
Road Science is New Zealands leading designer and supplier of bitumen and bitumen‑based products. We have world‑class manufacturing plants and storage facilities for bitumen, emulsions, and polymer‑modified binders. Road Science has five IANZ‑accredited civil engineering laboratories, and a number of project‑specific mobile laboratories.
Responsibilities
Based from the Penrose Road Science Laboratory, you will provide testing and technical support services ensuring the integrity of construction materials used by operational teams. This includes testing products such as asphalt, construction aggregates, and soils to meet quality, industry standards and customer specifications. The role involves laboratory, field testing and pavement investigations, and requires flexibility to work a rotational night shift and weekend roster, working onsite with Asphalt teams during non‑normal hours.
