Job Description

Laboratory Technician

We are looking for a full time outstanding individual to fill the position of Laboratory Technician at the Elkmont Veterinary Lab. This role will be responsible for processing and analyzing samples collected from the farms under direct supervision of the Lab Lead Technician. This role must maintain a high degree of quality, while working efficiently and cost effectively, while ensuring that all procedures are implemented by following company guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain sufficient inventory of supplies to prevent work delays
  • Accurately process and analyze samples in a time efficient manner
  • Follow procedures outlined in the laboratory work instructions
  • Prepare media and solutions used in the laboratory (as role requires)
  • Enter samples and results into data management system
  • Be willing to work weekend rotations
