Schedule: Typically, Mon - Fri 7:00a - 6:00p. Varies based on project. Some weekend and night work required.
Position Summary
- This individual will perform tasks involving physical labor on highways and heavy construction projects.
- May operate a variety of hand and power tools.
- May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materials.
Essential Functions
- Perform a variety of tasks in heavy/highway construction projects; perform manual work in preparing surfaces for various paving, structures and utilities.
- Shovel bituminous asphalt into construction area.
- Shovel wet concrete and assist in placing concrete as directed.
