**Responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to: **
+ Serve as the surface land subject matter expert on cross functional business unit teams.
+ Compile, analyze, and communicate land data and concepts.
+ Conduct public records research to determine surface ownership.
+ Negotiate and draft various oil and gas agreements, obtain surface use agreements, rights-of-way, surface leases, utility easements, crossing agreements, etc. required for asset development and/or operations.
+ Issue surface title clearances/clear to construct work for rig lines.
+ Effectively provide work direction to field land agents and outside legal counsel.
+ Demonstrate an understanding of surface land involvement in oil and gas operations.
