The role of a Laundry Assistant at Akari Care involves ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all laundry processes within the care home. This includes providing personalized attention to residents' laundry needs, performing minor repairs, and maintaining a clean and well‑organized laundry environment.
Main duties of the job
As a Laundry Assistant, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day laundry operations, including washing, drying, and folding residents' personal items. You will work closely with the Housekeeper and the wider domestic team to ensure the laundry service meets the high standards expected. Additionally, you will be mindful of individual religious and cultural backgrounds, and ensure that all residents receive a personalised service.
